Music Therapy
The Minstrel Speaks provides spiritual and emotional healing and comfort through the therapeutic use of music.
Music Therapy in more modern times is defined as the "the clinical and evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program. Music Therapy is an established health profession in which music is used to address physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of individuals". (Quoted from American Music Therapy Association)
Music innately has healing properties within its different frequencies and with proper technique and skillful musicianship, the use of music can help transform any environment, externally and internally. Music is also influential and necessary. It has the ability to unite people together that are different. It soothes the soul when troubled, eases the mind and heart. Brings about joy and laughter. Has the power to change you. Understood by everyone (universal). It enhances learning. It is pleasurable. Music is SPIRITUAL in nature.
